Your neighbours
love your pet too.
Pawbour is a community co-op for pet care. Help a neighbour with their dog or cat, earn a Paw, and use it when your own pet needs a hand. No strangers. No $60-a-day bills.

How Pawbour works
Create your pet's profile
Tell us about your dog, cat, or critter. Photos, quirks, feeding notes β whatever helps a neighbour care for them well.
Help or ask for help
Browse requests from neighbours, or post one of your own. Everything happens within your own community.
Earn and spend Paws
Help a neighbour, earn a Paw. Use your Paws when you need care for your own pet. It's a community favour bank, not a marketplace.
No cash. No awkward pricing. Just Paws.
Everyone starts with 1 welcome Paw. Help a neighbour to earn more. Paws are held in escrow until care is complete β no one gets paid unless the job is done.

Frequently asked questions
Is this free?
Yes. You earn Paws by helping a neighbour, and you spend them when you need a hand. No credit card, no hourly rate β just neighbours looking out for each other.
What if my neighbour flakes?
Your Paws are held safely until the visit is done and you say so. If something goes sideways, nothing is spent and we'll help you sort it out.
Can I trust a stranger?
They're not strangers β they're the folks a few doors down. Every helper has a real profile with their story, their experience, and kind words from other neighbours they've helped.
How are Paws different from cash?
Paws are a thank-you from your community β earned by helping a neighbour, and spent when you need a hand yourself. They're meant to keep care flowing between neighbours, not to replace your wallet.
What if I run out?
Lend a hand to someone else and you'll top right back up. And if you're ever really stuck, just reach out β we're neighbours too.
Built by an Alberta neighbour, for Alberta neighbours.
Hi β I'm a Calgary pet owner and the person building Pawbour. I started this because I have neighbours I'd trust with my dog before I'd trust any app, and I wanted a system that rewards that kind of community trust. Whether you're in a Calgary neighbourhood or a Wheatland County town, I'd love for you to join our early community.
